Is it possible to extract OLE objects via DXL in DOORS 9.5.2?
To extract OLE objects from DOORS via DXL does the server/client needs the respective software to be installed? ex: of there are MS Word based ole then do I need the Microsoft Office software to be installed on my client / server ?

Re: DXL & OLE objects Hi Karthik, I have found when exporting modules from DOORS to Word that a warning can issued when an unregistered OLE object is exported, see Export to Word dialog box. On investigation it was found that only the Visio OLE objects were reported when exporting over Citrix, since our Citrix server does not have Visio installed and the extracted items are then exported as pictures. Word and Excel OLE objects were exported with no issue since Office is installed on the Citrix server. Hope this helps. --- Martin |
